Newborn Whitetail Fawn Resting in Green Fern

A friend of mine had a pregnant deer. After she gave birth to a beautiful brown deer, the mother got sick and died. My friend did not know what to do, so he brought it to me. He knew that I love animals and I had experience taking care of all kinds of pets. But I never thought of a deer. When I saw my little deer, I was so happy and I named her “Bootci”. I decided to arrange a nice place in my garden and I bought her a couple of baby bottles to feed her. Bootci started easily accepting the milk in the bottle but it was difficult to let her stay in the garden. As soon as she saw the house door open, she used to jump into the house and lay on my bed. Day after day, she grew up and the small horns started getting longer; it hurt when she got excited in playing with me. I used to take her out with a leash during my walks and the fun part was when I went to the sea. She used to jump and join me in swimming and it was fun.

As she started growing, I knew that I would need to let her go. So one day, I met one of my old friends who had a small zoo and I was so happy that he had a couple of deer. He felt very happy to have mine. I knew that Bootci would need to have a family soon. From time to time, my friend used to invite me so I could see Bootci. When I called her name, she used to run and jump in front of me. I knew that she would never forget me. I loved my beautiful unique deer, Bootci.
