Easter yeast cake with icing and candied orange peel, delicious Easter dessert, traditional Easter p

Lemon cake is one of my favorite cakes, But every time I used to make it I was disappointed that my cake was not the one I love. After many recipes that I have tried, I got one of the best recipes, moist, fluffy, and citrusy, my family loved it so much and hope you will like it. I will write the measurement with cups so it will be easy to do it.

The ingredients

  1. 2.5 cups flour all-purpose
  2. 1.5 cups sugar
  3. 1.5 teaspoon baking powder
  4. 1 lemon zest
  5. 0.5 cup of butter milk
  6. 0.25 quarter cup of lemon juice
  7. 4 eggs
  8. 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  9. 0.5 oil (vegetable-canola)

The steps

  1. First sift all the dry ingredients together (flour-baking powder)
  2. Mix sugar, oil, and beat the eggs with vanilla very well until the sugar dissolves. Try not to overbeat just 4 to 5 minutes or until you see the mixture turn to fluffy white color.
  3. Stop beating and use a spatula or whisk to dry ingredients (add half of the flour, and whisk it gently, then add lemon zest, buttermilk.
  4. Keep whisk and add the rest of the flour.
  5. Add the last thing lemon juice, make sure to mix them well.

After we finish preparing the cake, we want to know the best way to bake it on 180c or 350F
Preheat the oven at least for 10 minutes before baking it. put the cake in a pan 9in.
Bake it in a rack of the oven for 45 minutes some oven it takes less than it, so the best way to know if your cake is done is to test it by stick don’t do this step before 30 minutes at first, when the cake is done broil it for about 5 minutes, take it out of the oven to cool down about 40 minutes.
I like to decorate it with lemon glaze (half cup of fictional sugar,4tablespoon of lemon juice), put it at the top, and enjoy.

This was my experience from my baking world as an assistant chef newcomer to Canada. Hope you like it as I do.
