belgian waffles with icing sugar

Ingredients (for 4 servings):

  • 225g all-purpose flour
  • 25g sugar
  • 9g baking power
  • 2.5g sea salt
  • 310g buttermilk
  • 125g oil
  • 2 large eggs

Note: You need a waffle iron for this recipe.

Method:

You can make tasty waffles for breakfast within 30 minute if you follow these simple steps. First, prepare a big enough bowl and put all-purpose flour, salt, sugar and baking powder inside. Stir the ingredients evenly with your hand or spatula. Secondly, mix together buttermilk, oil and eggs in a separate bowl and whisk gently for a while. Then, pour liquid mixture gradually into the flour mixture and stir gently until the ingredients are fully combined. Finally, the waffle iron should be preheated to medium-high heat before you start adding small amounts of batter. Don’t add too much batter because it will expand, fill every little space and overflow. Waffles need to be heated around 3 minutes and then removed from the waffle iron. Cool the waffles for a while before you serve them to your family. As you can see, making tasty waffles for breakfast is not only fast, but also very easy.
