I made many recipes to get the perfect recipe for chocolate cake. And after many times of trying to have a moist, fluffy, delicious chocolate cake, one of my friends sent to me her grandmother's recipe. It was very simple, and need only one bowl to do it. Let’s not talk too much about it, because I want you to bake it. Trust me it is the best chocolate cake ever.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour.
  • 1 ½ cup of sugar.
  • ¾ cocoa powder .
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon baking powder.
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract.
  • 3 eggs.
  • ¾ cup of buttermilk .
  • 1 cup instant coffee.
  • 1 cup corn oil

Chocolate Cream Cheese Buttercream frosting

  • 1 ½ cup butter softened.(Room temperature)
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened. (That means to take it out from the fridge at least one hour before using it)
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract.
  • 7-8 cups powdered sugar.
  • ¼ cup milk as needed.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 385 F . Butter 9inch cake pan. Dust it With a flour.
  2. Mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking powder in a bowl. Don’t forget to sift it, and take the crumble things away.
  3. Beat eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla until it becomes smooth for a couple of minutes.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix them together. The coffee should be added at the end to finish your mix.
  5. Bake the cake for 35 minutes at 385F, to make sure the cake is baked well try to insert a toothpick into the center if it comes out clean that means your cake is done.
  6. Cool it on wire racks for 20 minutes to allow it to cool complete.

Frosting

  1. Beat butter and cream cheese in a mixer bowl for 5 min until fluffy.
  2. Add in cocoa powder and vanilla extract until combined in a low speed.
  3. Beat in powdered sugar 1 cup at a time. Add milk as necessary to make a spreadable consistency. The frosting should be very thick and will thicken even more if refrigerated.
