If you love Chicken Biryani, you should try this easy to make biryani recipe that does not require a lot of ingredients. So, here it is:

Ingredients

  • Chicken-750g (medium pieces).
  • Yogurt -2 table spoons
  • Ginger & Garlic paste - 2 tsp.
  • Some coriander leaves
  • Chicken Biryani Powder - 2 tsp.
  • Turmeric Powder - 1teasp.
  • Salt - according to taste
  • Oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Cinnamon Stick-3
  • Cloves -3
  • Cardamom -3
  • Onions -3 (cut in thin slices).
  • Green chilies -3
  • Tomato-3 (chopped).
  • Curry powder-1 ½ teaspoon
  • Basmati Rice -500g – 750g

Method

  1. Mix well yogurt, ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves, and Chicken Biryani powder (you can get it from a Canadian or Indian grocery store), turmeric and salt and marinate for an hour.
  2. Wash rice and cook for 30 minutes in rice cooker.
  3. Pour oil in a pan and add sliced onions to it. Fry onions till they change colour, then add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom, and green chilies, and fry till they turn brown in colour. Add tomatoes and the marinated chicken. Mix well for 5 minutes in and cook on a low heat. Add the curry powder and 2 cups of water. Mix well and cook for 30 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked rice to a pot and mix well with the chicken curry. Then put on the oven for 10 minutes. Bake at 350'C.
  5. Take it out on a rice dish. Delicious Chicken biryani is ready to eat! Enjoy!
