My name is Ana Maria, I was born in Cuba. My parents are Maria and Eduardo. I have two siblings and I am the youngest. I also have a daughter, her name is Dianelys.
I attended school in Cuba for my whole school years, I was a very good student. When I graduated 12th grade, I applied for university to study history of Cuba and become a teacher. Due to the struggles that the youth in my country have to face daily, for example, the lack of resources for a better future, I had to immigrate to Canada. This was the best decision I have ever made. I was able to bring my daughter with me and my mother has also come for visits. Canada has been an amazing country to me. I have found great job opportunities and a better quality of life.
Now I am a more mature individual, with lots of friends from all over the world. I am also taking an English class so I can improve my pronunciation and my writing skills. I am very happy because once I have my certificate I can take the citizenship test to become a citizen of this great country, Canada.
