Canada

snowy neighborhood

My experience in Canada had been totally different from what I was thought it would be. The first thing I thought was that there is so much snow and it lasted all year! I also thought Canadians were rude since everyone seems in such a hurry all the time. But when I moved to Canada, it was a great experience to meet with new people of different cultures and countries. Everyone is friendly and helpful and they all seem to get along well here. I discovered that Canada is a very multicultural society.

Traveling is a popular dream among many of us and making it a reality is a great learning experience. Traveling around the Canadian countryside has been a truly wonderful and exciting part in my life here. I have come to have a very personal, and emotional attachment to the culture and the whole environment. So far, my favourite place with its natural beauty was Prince Edward Island where I first landed. It was like nothing I have ever seen, and the people were so kind and friendly. They were also helpful in that they never laughed at my language skills, they tried to help me while speaking and would politely correct my sentences.

So, I am happy to admit that my ideas about Canada before I came were wrong. Canadian people are so friendly and helpful, and I now love this country and always will.
