Canada

Portrait Of Bus Driver Behind Wheel

From the beginning, it was my dream since my boyhood to come to Canada and live. I don't know why I preferred Canada to America. To tell the truth, I don't have any interest to live in America maybe because of the DV lottery that the USA provides to developing countries. I am not complaining about the DV lottery, rather I don't like crowded places that much, so I prefer things that are calm and need my privacy. I don't want to lose my freedom-I am so attached to my freedom and privacy. I love both of them that is why I thought I would like Canada over the U.S.A.

In my life, I have followed certain principles such as not doing bad things to other people who I don't want other people to do to me. I always try to be kind to others, polite, and have sympathy for humanity. Happily, the above things that I mentioned are found in me are also in most Canadians.

Before I came here to Canada, I didn’t expect that Canadian would be such polite people and respectful to others, especially to immigrants. But I have seen the reverse. I can define most Canadians in a few words: polite, friendly, and cheerful. I have even seen a Canadian policeman come out from his vehicle and help somebody who is an immigrant to cross on the pedestrian crossover. Even the bus drivers thank you for tapping your card on the farebox when you board the bus! They also say ‘good morning’ while you board the bus. It is very common among Canadian residents to exercise politeness on a daily basis. Therefore, I won’t get confused hereafter if someone in the supermarket or on the street asks me about my day or greets me with a smile on the street. They are just being Canadian.
