Canada

Canadian maple leaf flag and balloons in the sky for canada day.

I moved from the Middle East to live in my new country with different culture, language, and weather. Canadian beautiful people are polite and always smiling and many say hello without knowing you. They also apologize constantly for any simple reason. I live in Peterborough, Ontario, where the weather in the winter is cold with a lot of snow, but in Syria I have only seen snow a few times. As for the autumn, it is very beautiful and is characterized by its wonderful colors and warm sunny days. Fall is my favourite season in Canada. In spring and summer everything is green and beautiful, too. Canadian culture is also very different in terms of raising children. Here, young people are independent, but in my country children live with their family until they finish university and get married. Another difference is how families keep pets in their homes with their infants. This is very different from my original country. In Middle East, we keep dogs, cats and rabbits outside. Finally, in Canada, there are wonderful opportunities for work and education, no matter how old a person is. Canada is a country of safety and stability. I love Canada and I love to live here.

Happy Birthday Canada!
