Man holding the national flag of canada

One of the most important decisions in my life has been coming to Canada with my family to live in this wonderful place. This implied a radical change in our lives. It is not easy to leave your family, friends, and a whole life built in your country.

I remember the day we arrived in Canada, with only our suitcases and the illusion of starting to build a future practically from scratch. At first, it was not easy, especially adapting to a new culture, in a country totally different from ours where we did not know the language. The first thing we did was start looking for a place to live because we arrived at my brother's house and the apartment was too small. We also looked for a school for our children, especially for my son who is autistic. My daughter started studying a few days after our arrival. Also, we tried to look for work, and ultimately find a way to get ahead.

The first winter was harsh, and we were not used to living with temperatures below zero. We had the support of many people who offered us winter clothes, even Christmas gifts for our children. The first Christmas away from home and family was tough.

We have always put all our projects in God's hands. He has been the one who has allowed everything we have lived and achieved in our lives and has strengthened us in moments of weakness and despair. We are sure that being under the shelter and protection of Him and with great faith, we will be able to achieve everything we set out to do.

Looking back today, there are almost 5 years of incredible experiences, where we have met wonderful people who have helped us build this life project. We have enjoyed the beautiful landscapes that this fantastic country offers us. With effort and dedication, it is possible to achieve everything we set out to do.
