Bios

My name is Isik. I am from El Salvador. I have been living in Canada for 10 years. I have two kids and one grandson. I live here alone because I can't bring my children since they are mature.

I left one part of my life in my country. My life here is difficult.

I try to keep my mind busy although it is difficult for me to concentrate. I have had ups and downs, but I’ve always been working since I arrived in Canada.

God opened the doors for me. I worked for 2 years as a kitchen assistant in a golf club, eight years in the residence of the Embassy of Italy and now I work in a student residence at Carleton University.

This is part of my story here in Canada.
