Odessa, Ukraine 06.05.2022. Fountain in the City garden in Odessa during the war in Ukraine on a sun

Odesa is the third most populated city in Ukraine. It is a major seaport and transport hub located in the southwest of the country, on the Black Sea coast. The city is also the administrative centre of the Odesa region and a multinational cultural centre. The total area of Odesa is 239 square kilometers. The population in 2021 was over 1,000,000. Odesa is sometimes called the "Pearl by the Sea", "Southern Capital", "Mother Odesa" or "Capital of Humor", as well as "Southern Palmyra".

In ancient times, an ancient Greek settlement existed in its place. In 1794, by decree of the Russian Empress Catherine the Great, the modern city of Odesa was founded. In the 19th century, Odesa was the fourth largest city in the Russian Empire after Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Warsaw.

However, this is not the most important thing. I think that the main thing is the heart of the city. Namely:

Firstly, there are many modern comfortable hotels for numerous tourists and guests of the city.

Secondly, we have many sights in the city: the Museum of Maritime History, the Literary Museum, the Museum of Western and Oriental Art, the film studio, the famous Privoz market, the Potemkin Stairs and one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world.

Next Odesa is also famous for its beaches. The Arcadia area is the most popular and has many restaurants and activities.

Finally, Odesa is famous for its hospitable people. They have a great sense of humor and kind hearts. Odesans and guests of the city like clean green streets and squares, interesting monuments, beautiful cathedrals, parks, fountains, theatres, and beaches.

Welcome to Odesa and have a great rest there! I am sure you'll like it.
