Here is some vocabulary from this edition. Do you know what the words mean?

amenities
something that makes a place comfortable or easy to live in

barrier
a rule, problem etc that prevents people from doing something, or limits what they can do

campus
the land and buildings of a university or college, including the buildings where students live

coastal
in the sea or on the land near the coast

colossal
extremely large

commemoration
something that makes you remember and respect someone important or an important event in the past

coop
a building for small animals, especially chickens

dumbfounded
extremely surprised

electrolysis
the process of using electricity to destroy hair roots and to remove unwanted hairs from your face etc

extinct
a type of animal or plant does not exist anymore

gadget
a small, useful, and cleverly-designed machine or tool

garland
a ring of flowers or leaves, worn on your head or around your neck for decoration or for a special ceremony

gloat
to show in an annoying way that you are proud of your own success or happy about someone else’s failure

harsh
severe, cruel, or unkind

ideal
the best or most suitable that something could possibly be

indignation
feelings of anger and surprise because you feel insulted or unfairly treated

influx
the arrival of large numbers of people or large amounts of money, goods etc, especially suddenly

ozone
a layer of gases in the sky that prevents harmful radiation from the sun from reaching the Earth

panoramic
an impressive view of a wide area of land

picturesque
pretty and interesting in an old-fashioned way

reluctant
slow and unwilling

reunion
a social meeting of people who have not met for a long time, especially people who were at school or college together

skyrocket
increase very quickly

snorkeling
when you swim under water using a snorkel

treadmill
a piece of exercise equipment that you can walk or run on while staying in the same place
