app
a piece of computer software that does a particular job

aromatic
having a strong pleasant smell

basement
a room or area in a building that is under the level of the ground

beloved
loved very much by someone

commute
(n) the journey to work every day

docudrama
a film on television which shows real events in the form of a story

egalitarian
based on the belief that everyone is equal and should have equal rights

enhance
to improve something

float
(n) a large vehicle that is decorated to drive through the streets as part of a special event

flora
all the plants that grow in a particular place or country

foster
to help a skill, feeling, idea etc develop over a period of time

hearty
happy and friendly and usually loud

icicle
a long thin pointed piece of ice hanging from a roof or other surface

mentor
(n) an experienced person who advises and helps a less experienced person

optimist
someone who believes that good things will happen

perk
an advantage or something extra, such as money or goods, that you are given

pristine
not spoiled or damaged in any way, clean or fresh

raffle
(n) a competition or game in which people buy numbered tickets and can win prizes

rugged
land that is rough and uneven

sled
a small vehicle used for sliding over snow, often used by children or in some sport

stunning
extremely attractive or beautiful

troupe
a group of singers, actors, dancers etc who work together

vigilance
careful attention that you give to what is happening, so that you will notice any danger or illegal activity
